I have many years experience working with people to facilitate personal development and offering support in dealing with the challenges thrown down by life. For a number of years I have focussed on working with people with eating disorders, including one to one work and co-facilitating a self-help group for five years.

More recently, I have gained specialist training working with people with drug and alcohol issues on a one to one basis, and I co-facilitate a group.

All my work is fully supervised by qualified, experienced supervisors. I am a student member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists and as such I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.

'In actual life to be simple and straightforward
is an art in itself requiring the greatest discipline,
while the question of self-acceptance lies in the moral problem and at the heart of a whole philosophy of life’.
